On Thursday 12th May, PROTECTA Insurance New Zealand Limited was pleased to announce the opening of a branch office at 16 Mill Street in Hamilton.

For more than 25 years, PROTECTA Insurance has established a well-respected name for providing niche insurance products to the motor and finance industries. PROTECTA has specialised in Motor Vehicle and Motorcycle Insurance products and the opening in Hamilton marked the entry into the Classic Insurance market. The new Hamilton office will specialise in the insuring of Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, Classic Cars, Classic Bikes, Vintage Cars, Race and Rally Cars.

This is a very specialised part of the market and PROTECTA Insurance is very happy to have Ray Meharg and Jan McAleer looking after your motor vehicle and motorcycle insurance needs. Ray and Jan are both experienced in the insurance business and are well known Classic Motor Vehicle enthusiasts.  Ray is also the President of Harbour City Rod Club and owns a 1936 Ford Tudor.  Jan and her partner are members of the Stragglers Rod and Kustom Club and owners of a Ford Model A and various other vehicles under restoration including a Nash Metropolitan that Jan hopes to have on the road in the next few weeks.
