Protecta Classic at the 2011 Speedshow

Protecta Insurance's Stand at the 2011 Speedshow

Protecta Insurance Press Release

Protecta were excited to be involved in this year's Speedshow event at the ASB show grounds in Greenlane.  Lance Crane, a Protecta Classic Policyholder, very kindly lent us his award winning hot rod (1932 Ford Cabriolet "Kiwi Kid II") which held pride of place on our stand.  This is one jaw-dropping car, with Air-Ride suspension, removable roof, fold out dickie seat, and late model Ford XR8 running gear.

Also on display was the new 2011 Triumph Bonneville, kindly on loan from Protecta Motorcycle Insurance agents Auckland Motorcycles and Powersports.  This thoroughly modern bike remains true to the heritage of the legendary original Bonneville from the '60s, with classic styling hiding the latest technology such as fuel injection and disc brakes.

There was plenty to keep visitors entertained, with a selection of car and hot rod related DVD's playing, and NZV8 and Classic Car magazine giveaways for visitors to take home with them.  Visitors could also sign up to go in the draw to win a Car Care kit, and a hands free car kit (see our Prize Draws page to see the winners).

The Protecta stand proved to be very popular, and it was great to see a number of current Protecta Insurance policy holders (both car and motorcycle) coming up to say hi.  We never need much of an excuse to talk about cars and motorbikes, so it's great to hear about what people are driving/riding and share in their passion for their rides.
