2012 Mothers Chrome Autofest - 24th to 26th February

Protecta will be at the Autofest - come along and say hi!

Protecta will be there with a garage full of stunning cars, and we'll have giveaways and promotions going so make sure you pop in and say hi.  We have also sponsored Turn 9 and the Burnout Lane, which is the area immediately below the pedestrian tunnel through to the pit area.  Grab yourself a spot on the bank to see some stunning cars cruising by, and to see some rubber laid down by those taking advantage of a safe spot to do skids.

What is the Autofest? 

The Mothers Chrome Autofest is a three day long premier festival of all things Hot Rod, Muscle Car, and Custom Car.  It covers three tracks - Hampton Downs, Fram Autolight Dragway, and Meremere Raceway.  The multitude of activities over the three day period include:

• Participants get the chance to take their cars out on the three tracks for a spin
• There are two main cruises, one from Hamilton and one from Manukau
• V8 racing, drag racing and Sprint Car racing (including some controlled wheel stands)
• Drifting displays, power skids, burnouts and a Gymkhana event
• A Grand Parade of show cars
• Cheerleaders, bands, DJs, a fashion show, great food, Moselle's Panel and Paint Garden Bar, and much, much more.

There are plenty of places for spectators to get a good live view, as well as the main action on the day being shown on the big screen.  There's some big prizes (trophies and prize money) up for grabs for those entering the various competitions, and there will be tons of cars and chrome on display.
